HEIGHTS NAME NEW RECRUITS

The Avondale Heights Football Club is excited about season 2016 under new senior coach Daniel Archer and his coaching team which includes, Ben MacCormack  as Senior Assistant Coach, Daniel Dimech as Senior Development Coach, Charles Cuzzupi as Reserves Coach and Brett Kennerley as U18’s Coach.

The Avondale Heights Football Club has also been working hard on the retention of its 2015 playing list, as it plans for an exciting 2016 EDFL season. Senior players Matt Cravino, Phil Smith, Patrick Rose, Ben Davies, Nathan Byrne, Cameron Harris, Charlie Nastasi, David Stretton, Justin Morris and Taylor Jones have all recommitted for the 2016 season along with numerous other players as the list continues to build.

To complement the clubs player retention, a number of quality players have also been added which include:

 Xavier McMahon  -       Eastlake (NEAFL) and University Blues (VAFA)

 Matthew O' Dwyer  -   Sydney Swans (AFL), Werribee (VFL) and Sydney University (NEAFL)

  Scott Clouston  -    Williamstown (VFL) Premiership player, Redland (NEAFL) and Brisbane Lions (AFL)

The club continues to work diligently under the direction of the new player points system to build a list that allows the club to create a positive environment for all involved.

Pre-season training has started well with a strong turn out from both Senior listed and Under 18 players at Canning Reserve. The club is extremely excited about the year ahead and is looking forward to working hard under the direction of the new committee to deliver a united ‘One Club Approach’ across its programs.
