VALE: EDDIE SIRIANNI

VALE EDDIE SIRIANNI
We lost another member of the Avondale Heights Football Club community on the weekend with the passing of Eddie Sirianni.
Eddie played all of his junior footy at the Heights on the old Doyle St oval, all the way through to the great 1974 U17 Premiership team. He boarded at Ballarat for school during the week but would always be home on the weekend’s to play footy with his mates. He played in the Club's first Senior Premiership in 1976 at Full Back and was selected in the AHFC team of the decade for the 1970’s as full back. He then left for Queensland and played in another premiership with Maroochydore in 1984 and went on to coach their Reserves teamn, but he was always an Avondale Boy at heart. A tough and rugged player who always had your back with a big personality and smile to match. He loved the Club and he loved his teammates

Condolences to his partner Emma & children Sonny, Tyson & Ali (all named after Heavyweight boxing Champions!)

RIP Eddie you will be sadly missed
